I'd suggest a bicycle helmet. A good compromise between protection and comfort.

If you want more protection, use a motorcycle/scooter helmet. But it will be heavy and sweaty.

A skateboard/inlines helmet is an OK choice too.

Well, a motorcycle helmet would offer more protection, but it'll be a lot heavier and sweatier than a purpose-made bicycle helmet. A skateboard helmet would be a fairly sensible alternative.

Well, if you don't think it gets too warm or looks too dorky - get a full face helmet. Apart from that, look for the best fit, and one with the appropriate certifications.
