What education do you need to be a cheerleader?

cheerleaders go to school and do everything a normal student does.the only thing that cheerleaders are limited to are other extracaricular activities besides cheer, this is because some schools only allow students one activity at a time. other than that, cheerleaders are like evryone else.

You need to know gymnastics because Cheerleading requires: Cartwheels, handstands etc.

You need to know tumbling because cheerleading requires flips, somersaults etc.

You need to know co-operation because if you are cheerleading you need to cheer

You need to know collaboration because on a cheerleading team you are cheerleading with other people

And last but definitely not least you need to know confidence. You need confidence in yourself to learn cheers and actions and you need to know that when people laugh it's because your cute. YOU NEED CONFIDENCE!!! :)

Well technically not that much. However, all schools require athletes to keep a certain GPA, usually of a 2.5 to stay on the team. Most cheerleaders are actually quite smart, a lot are in honors classes or maintain A's and B's.

There is no such thing as majoring in cheerleading. You could consider buisness or sports education
