It means a fantastic amount of trust and health :)
Richie Zisk played outfield for the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team during the 1971-1976 seasons. Mike Zagurski was a pitcher on the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team during the 2013 season.
ZIt's called the "Zoltan," and it's spreading through Pittsburgh like wildfire. The Pirates watched Dude, Where's My Car? during a road trip to Atlanta in late April and have since adopted the cult leader Zoltan's hand sign as their official big-play signal. (edit) The sign is made with the left hand on top, right on the bottom, touching extended thumbs to resemble a Z. That shows a Z to other people, if you put the right hand on top you are backwards and showng it to yourself. Since this original answer was posted there has been a barrage of Z (zoltan) merchandise, homemade signs, and the like in the stands. (2012)
The sign of the z score is negative if the observation was below the mean and positive if it was greater.
It's the sign of Zoltan from the movie "Dude Where's My Car?"
no
Neil Walker started this in Atlanta after the team watched Dude, Where's My Car? The letter Z is in reference to the character Zoltan from the movie and is done by the players after someone gets a hit. If you Google this, you'll see a ton of cool pictures and read a lot more about it than I could ever explain! It's great to see the team having fun this season!
The symbol for the set is Z, from the German Zahlen meaning numbers.
Without an equality sign and not knowing the plus or minus value of 81 it can't be solved. If you mean: z+81 = 9z-7 Then: z-9z = -7-81 => -8z = -88 By dividing both sides by -8: z = 11
