I've heard two things, that it stands for Green Bay or for greatness.
If you are referring to the Green Bay Packers helmet, then it stands for Green Bay.
1961
Green Bay smarts.
The G on the Packers helmet stands for greatness. In 1961 George Brashier, the packers eqiupment manager, created it.
Maybe jt means Greenbay
Greatness
There are two meanings for the "G" on the helmet, Green Bay, but most importantly...... Greatness!
Uhh . . . the word "green" starts with a G. As in Green Bay. You know, G for Green Bay? I hope this is clear enough.
They have a trademark for that particular, stylized G. The letter G is still free for everyone to use.
Well it was nothing. They had nothing on it,it was just plain.
The G stands for Green Bay. And the Green Bay Packers are owned by the city.
