∙ 13y agoHe's trying to get his guys to hurry either to the huddle or back to the line of scrimmage if they are in hurry up mode. For some reason he needs to preserve clock time.

∙ 13y agoTwiddling your thumbs is quite simple and can be very entertaining. First you stick your arms slightly out in front of you and interlock your fingers. Then while kepping your fingers interlocked you turn your thumbs in a circular motion. Congratz! You are now twiddling!

With fingers interlocked I believe. In that manner, no fingers are crushed by the dominant muscled person. This doesn't work well with women who wear multiple rings on one hand. Any way that's comfortable for both partners is the right way.
