There is a misconception that some players use frozen paintballs to hurt more, but in reality, they hurt about the same, because when the Gelatin shell is frozen, and it generally warms up by game time, it becomes brittle and breaks easily, so unless someone literally takes paint out of an industrial freezer and shoots it at you, you will be fine.

No getting shot by a paintball gun doesnt sting as much but will leave big bruises, it varys to what gun is being shot at you. Overall the paintball gun has more FPS so yes it does HURT more but doesn't sting as much

It feels like a MMA pro hits you but his fist is about the size of an acorn (only the first time) but after that, it's really not that bad. All it leaves are these quarter sized welts

Like a rubber band snap to the neck if you are not prepared. It will hurt a lot less if you expect it, and have an adrenaline rush.

A thick rubber band snap to the back of the neck, but wherever you get hit.
