The term "blowout" refers to a lopsided victory. In the US, it's applied to practically any game or sport in which one athlete or team seriously outscores the other.

There's no hard-and-fast rule as to what constitutes a blowout, but the term is seldom used in the NFL unless the margin of victory is three touchdowns or more..
