Half time is used to talk about strategy for the second half and usually the head coach will give a short pep talk to rally his players.
Most Christians don't talk about Satan half the time. Most sermons from most denominations feature lessons from the gospels (i.e. about Jesus' life and teachings). There are a few rituals that talk about the devil (Catholic confirmations come to mind), but nothing like half the time. Regardless, mentioning something doesn't mean that one worships it. A lot of Americans talk about politics obsessively, but that doesn't mean that they worship Barack Obama. I think you'd be well served to talk to people other than internet atheists.
