Every player needs a mouthguard, shinpads, perhaps a glove (or two), of course a stick, and if you are a goalie, will also need pads. You might have to find a suitable place to play on, enough equipped people to play with, and maybe an umpire.

Hockey bags usually contain all of the equipment that the player will need for the game. This includes their hockey pants, socks, leg guards, helmet with mouth guard, skates, jersey, and shoulder pads, as well as supportive equipment such as hockey tape (to hold up the socks) and suspenders/belt (to hold up the hockey pants.) Extra equipment is also included in case something breaks.
