China
USA
Turkey (populerity is growing steadily)
Canada
Spain (apprently, though not as much as football)
France
Isreal
That's all I know what people I've met from some of those countries, such as China (very populer), USA, France etc. Spain seems to be big on the sport as well, Turkey is developing into the sport. I'm from the UK and Ireland. Basketball is played, though not as much compared to other sports, not many would take it into profession, only the very few in England who made it into the NBA, but we don't even know thier names. Basketball is played in playgrounds, it's only really the very few would follow the NBA. So far those who follow Basketball are like overseas Chinese students and the British born Chinese.
Hope this helps
The game of basketball is played on a world wide basis. Because of that, it is an Olympic sport. The center of basketball is the US, where a Canadian invented it. The list of nations that play the sport is too long to list, however, to explain the span of its popularity better, it is played in Europe and Australia.
The United States and most of Europe are the big basketball places, but China, Japan, the Philippines, Australia India, and most countries play it.
In the nba they play for their countries. For ABA basketball they play for their clubs
Basketball is played in most countries professionally. The United States, most of Europe, China, Japan, and most other countries have professional basketball teams.
Japan Canada etc.
No there are no countries in this world which don't play Basketball but one thing they have is that they don't want to promote it to a higher level. Here in Uganda it can promoted but that's after some people from outside comes into it and promote it.
