Having a High-School diploma, literacy, following detailed instructions are the required skills for a Lineman. Most of what you will learn will be during on-the-job training.
Deffinately I play high school football running back and if I saw that type of lineman I would laugh at him he is to tiny and would blown off the ball if anyone got their hands on him but now a blitzing lineback would be insane bruske53@aol.com
Probably between 300-400 on average and depends on how much you work out. I am (just graduated) a high school lineman, didn't work out much, benched 330. So you imagine someone who works out that is big in size would bench around 400 in high school.

We use a Youth Sized football for middle school football in Indiana.

It depends on your athletic abilities (speed, strength, kicking, etc..). No lineman positions. No linebacker. No fullback. Consider Kicker or Punter. Try out for any other position and best of luck to you!
