The difference between basketball and netball is that in basketball you can take more than 2 steps and dribble up the court, but in netball the most amount of steps you can take is 2 and you are put in certain positions. Another difference is that netball is played in thirds and basketball in halves.
when you are passing the ball to a person at a further distances
Netball was first played in England in 1895 at Madame Osterburg's College[4] and soon spread throughout Australia, the then-British colonies of Jamaica and Antigua, and indeed most British Commonwealth territories. It did not yet have hard-and-fast rules. So loose were the regulations, in fact, that some games were played by nine players in each team, while some were played with only five players in each.
no but there is a time keeper in high five netball which is played in primary schools!

Speed... A good center needs a lot of speed. There are five parts of a netball court and you ave to run aroung in 60% of them. Tha may not seem like a lot... BUT IT IS.
Netball was invented in 1892 but was called Women's Basketball not Netball.
fast netball is similar to normal netball but each team can choose a quarter to play power play. this means that when its your teams turn what ever you score it doubles, lets say that you scored a goal and it would usually count for 1 point, when its your power play it will double and count for 2. also is fast netball you can shoot from outside the circle, this counts as 2 points.
