Gordie Howe.

he started in 1946 and played until he was 50 in 1979 when he played all 80 games on the schedule. then in 1997 when he was almost 70 he signed a 1 game contract and played 1 shift making him the player to play in the most decades ever.

I believe Gordie Howe has the record for most NHL seasons. However, he's retired. Of current NHL players (as of October 26, 2008), I believe Chris Chelios has played the most NHL seasons.
