I BELIEVE GEORGE BLANDA OF THE Oakland Raiders HAD THE LONGEST NFL CARREER (WELL OVER 20 YRS.). Blanda played in the AFL (not the NFL) from 1960-1969. So you can take 10 years off of his total if you take the question literally. Correct answer for longest NFL career would be Morten Andersen. With 25 seasons and the NFL record for most games played at 382. Blanda is third on the list behind Andersen and Gary Anderson.

George Blanda he played 26 years in the nfl as a quarterback/kicker but 3 of those years he never threw a ball so he only played a QB for 23 years but is still the longest career as a QB.
