In general, a hockey arena holds about 20, 000 seats (at the NHL level) whereas an NFL stadium is capable of holding much more than that. The smallest NFL stadium (by seating capacity) is Soldier Field in Chicago, with 61, 500 seats. The largest is FedExField in Washingtion, D.C. It's capacity is 91, 704 seats.
FedEx Field's official capacity is 85,000. I think it's tops in the NFL but don't hold me to that.Despite the official capacity, they managed to squeeze almost 91,000 in for the last game of the 2007 season.

Cowboy Stadium is located in Arlington, Texas. It was fully built on May 27, 2009 and served to replace the Texas Stadium. The stadium itself seats 85,000 and is the 3rd largest stadium in use by the NFL.
The Louisiana Superdome... The new indoor stadium in Arlington, Texas will "hold" more fans because fans are allowed to stand in a certain portion of the stadium. The La. Superdome actually has more seats then the new Arlington stadium
The University of Idaho plays its football games in the "Kibbie Dome" which seats 16,000 fans (although the record attendance is 17,600, set in 1989 in a game against Boise State). The Kibbie Dome has 6,000 fewer seats than the next-smallest stadium, at Bowling Green State.
