Actually, two managers have done it. The first was George "Sparky" Anderson, who won two world championships with the Cincinnati Reds (1975-76) and a third with the Detroit Tigers (1984). The only other person to accomplish the feat was Tony La Russa, who won the 1989 World Series with the Oakland A's and the 2006 and 2011 World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals.
The late Frank Crosetti, who played for the New York Yankees from 1932 to 1948, also served as third-base coach for the team from 1947 to 1968. As a result, he was involved with 23 World Series teams and 17 world championships from 1932 to 1964.
