Yes. His name was Scott Secules and he was brought to the team to back up rookie starter Drew Bledsoe and established backup Scott Zolak in 1993. He played five games with the Patriots in 1993; his only career win was off the bench at Phoenix where he led the Patriots to a 23-21 win. He threw just two touchdowns and nine interceptions in those five games and was cut after the 1993 season.
