When did the nfl start televising regional games?
It was 1962 when CBS and the NFL agreed on a contract to
televise all games played. However, games have been televised as
far back as 1939 with a game between the Philadelphia Eagles and
Brooklyn Dodgers being the first game to be televised by a major
network (NBC). In 1950, the Los Angeles Rams and the Washington
Redskins were the first teams to have all of their games televised
in their local market and many other teams had contracts to
televise some of their games that season.
