The first "Super Bowl" was held at the Los Angeles Coliseum in Los Angeles, California on the 15th of January 1967. It was actually the first of three AFL-NFL World Championships that preceded the merger of the leagues in 1970.

It was won by the NFL team, the Green Bay Packers, beating the AFL's Kansas City Chiefs 35-10.
