Ray Lewis signed a seven year contract with the Baltimore Ravens in March, 2009 that will pay him $10 million for the 2009 season. This $10 million is made up of a $6.25 million signing bonus, $2.75 million roster bonus, and $1 million base salary.

It is a very intricate contract with most of the money in the first year so as to be able to spread it over the seven years to help in salary cap issues. In seven years, Lewis will be 40 years old and it is highly doubtful that he will still be playing.
