Since Phil Chisnall was transferred between the 2 teams in 1964 there have been 2 players, plus Michael Owen who have played for both sides first teams, these are Peter Beardsley and Paul Ince.
There have been two players to play for Manchester United and Livepool in their career :
Phill Chisnall was transferred from Manchester United to Liverpool in 1964. Since then, not a single player has been directly transferred from one club to another respectively. It was rumoured that Gabriel Henze would join Liverpool in mid 2007, but this claim was played down by United, turning down their offer.
The only other player to have played for Liverpool and Manchester United in there career is Paul Ince. He had a long spell at Manchester United over 6 years, lasting from 1989 to 1995. Making 206 appearances and scoring 24 goals. He made a brief spell at Liverpool from 1997 to 1999, making 65 appearances and scoring 14.
Hope this helps =)
