∙ 14y agoyou lead off only as far as you can with enough time to dive back to the base in the event the ball is caught. if the ball is caught you return to the base if it is dropped you run to third and possibly home. always be aware of your base coach when approaching third they should tell you to go home or not

A baseball field is larger and it has a pitching mound. A softball field has an extended first base to protect the fielder and runner.
Basically when the hitter hits the ball right down the middle of the field at the pitcher.
it is only used in slowpitch and they move around te field according to the skill level of the hitter
Do you mean to say it like the many events of track and field? (i.e. running, discus, pole vault) If so, theres only one event of softball which is the actual game of softball. im not sure if this is what you're looking for but i tried haha

about 200 feet
The base paths measure 3 feet on each side of the runner. When a runner changes direction, like if they were in a pickle, then a new base path is determined from that point in a straight line to the bases. This is to prevent girls from running all over the field to avoid being tagged out.
