The oil pressure gauge will fluctuate on a Chevy Tahoe when the vehicle is idling and when the vehicle is driven at highway speed. Idle is usually 30 psi oil pressure or slightly more. At highway speed, the oil pressure should be between 60 psi and 80 psi.
Check fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator.
You Probley have a blowed head gasket.
Possible bad fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator. Give more symptoms
Why will my abs break light and seat belt light stay lite on the dash of a 2003 chevy Tahoe while the motor is running? Please help. Thank you.
YES it is. GM had a problem with the fuel pumps making noise and still does.
How much does the oil pressure drop when the engine is warm and at an idle versus while the oil is still relatively cool? If the idling oil pressure is less than 25% of the oil pressure when running at highway speed, you probably have worn rod and/or main bearings.
mine died because of a faulty fuel pump
Start with changing the fuel filter.
Yes. It prevents the motor from from turning over while in gear.
blockage in the fuel lines or fuel filter is a possibility restricting fuel flow when there s no pressure in the fuel tank.
directly in the radiator while the van is running
