Unless the Patriots add a dome to Gillette Stadium, the Super Bowl will never be played in New England. The NFL Owners determine where a Super Bowl will be played. Criteria involved in the decision includes Location, The Stadium, Available seating and available amenities, such as the number of hotel rooms and available public transportation. Unfortunaltely for the folks of New England, the stadium is an outdoor venue, and since the game is played in February, chances are that 1. it will be freezing cold outside and 2. the chance for poor weather (snow in NE's case) are high and 3. poor infrastructure and 4. very poor (limited) public transportation to the site rules out New England as a potential Super Bowl Site.
