How do teams qualify for big ten football?

Teams qualify for the Big Ten football conference by being members of the conference, which includes 14 universities primarily located in the Midwest and Northeast. Qualification for postseason play, such as bowl games, typically depends on a team's performance during the regular season, requiring them to achieve a minimum number of wins. Additionally, the top teams in the conference standings may compete for the Big Ten Championship title, which is determined through a championship game between the leaders of the two divisions.

What are the differences between the National League Conference and the American League Conference in American football?

First of all, you are confusing the terms national league and American league used in baseball with football. Replace the word league with football. NFL has the National Football Conference and American Football Conference. There really is no difference, the difference is very similar to the differences between the American League and National League in baseball. Both Conferences are at the same level of play, play for the world championship with one team represting each (league in baseball, conference in football) in the final round of the playoffs, and in both baseball and football, each team plays the majority of games in their own (league in baseball, conference in football), but still plays a few of their games against teams from the other league or conference. These conferences were created after the NFL merged with a competing top-level league in 1970, the AFL (American Football League). All teams in the NFC are either expansion teams created after the merger, or were in the NFL before the merger. In the AFC, three teams that were in the NFL moved to the AFC the year of the merger so both conferences would have the same number of teams. Other than those three teams, all AFC teams were in the AFL or are expansion teams created after the merger.

Is the Rose Bowl required to take Big Ten runner-up Michigan if they don't play in the national championship?

Every year the Rose Bowl game is played between the number 1 team in the Pac 10 conference and the number 1 team in the Big 10. If the number 1 team in either conference is chosen to go to the National Championship then the number2 team in that conference goes to the Rose Bowl....EXAMPLE : Big 10 conference standing,,,,,1. Ohio State 2. Michigan. 3. Michigan State 4. Penn State 5. Iowa 6. Purdue 7. Northwestern 8. Indiana 9. Minnesota 10. Wisconsin 11. Illinois...In a normal situation Ohio State would go to the Rose Bowl, but suppose that Ohio State was chosen to go to the National Championship, then Michigan would be the team from the Big 10 to go to the Rose Bowl to play the winner of the Pac 10 conference unless the winner in that was also chosen to go to the National Championship, then the number 2 would go.
