It sure can. this is my stealth, a BST31 32" 23 oz. it's covered in flat spots and recently got a 3" crack down the barrel. I'm waiting to hear back if they'll replace it as i reported the initial dents to no avail.

Any bat can crack I saw my friends 2007 Stealth Sc900 split in half I was actually there when it happened but it rareley happens.
