Gaelic Football is one of Ireland's national sports. It is played mostly in Ireland but there are teams in many parts of the world where Irish people are living.

A special game has been devised by using some of the rules of Gaelic Football and Australian Rules Football, which are similar sports, and a competition is played between a team chosen from Australia and a team chosen from Ireland. This game has been referred to as "Compromise Rules" or "International Rules".
