Anyone NO! the designated server according to the line-up and rotation hits it's called serving the ball over the net and you play until it is dropped, the team that wins that starts the game, this first round is a non-point round and is called a rally No! every round such as this is called a rally and every rally earns the winner a point and the serve.

Usually the first person to hit the ball over the net, states "Rally for serve" and hits it gently NO! You want to hit it as hard as you can idiot! And no one says that! over to the other side.

Ok, even after my edits this could be A LOT better but I wanted to show you how retarded this person is!

The referee's. When both teams are ready to start, the captains of the team meet in the middle for a coin toss. Whoever wins the toss either picks ball first or what side the want. After the captains shake hands they walk of the field and the referee will blow the whistle putting the game into play. Then the players line up and start.
