you need to stand 3 feet away from the player about to take the shot and lean over towards the ball, but make sure you do not come any closer then 3 feet otherwise you will get pulled up for obstruction. when the shooter is about to take the shot jump up as high as you can but maintain your 3 feet. it is rare you will get or tip the ball but it does put the player off. if the player misses be prepared for the rebound jump up and grab the ball in.
No, a player must be in court if they want to defend an on court player.
If you mean a goal shooter then yes! Every player has to defend his or her player on the opposite team.
When you defend it serves as an obstacle and makes it harder for the other side even if you do not get the ball.

Yes, if a shooter misses the shot then the opposition can try and take the ball or you can have another shot.
when you have taken a shot, follow your shot to the hoop and if it hits the ring you will then hopefully get the rebound meaning you can have another shot:)
Because if there is no attackers who will score the goals, they wouldn't be able to attack and defend themselves
The three feet rule is how far you need to be from a player to defend them when they have the ball.
Penalty pass or Penalty pass/shot, depending on where you are on court.
