It depends how hard the batter swings and where they hit the ball on the bat. If they hit it too close or far from their hands it wont go as fast as being hit right on the heart of the barrel
no i dont know about in baseball, but in fastpitch softball... the batter would be out
If the baseball hit the ground in foul territory, the ball is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory, and the batter/runner is still in the batter's box when the baseball hits him, it is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory and the batter/runner is out of the batter's box when the baseball hits him, the batter/runner is out and the ball is dead.
A woman throws a baseball from the front of an airplane to the back. From the perspective of the woman, the baseball travels at an average speed of 15 m/s. To an observer on the ground, the airplane is traveling at a constant speed of 820 km/h. What is the speed of the baseball from the perspective of the ground observer?
Someone walking toward the back of the train would have a greater speed relative to you if you are stationary inside the train. This is because their speed would be the combination of their walking speed and the speed of the train moving forward.
It was hit back to her on a line drive by the batter with a bat.
In a vacuum it would fall back to the same height at the same speed, 150m/s. It would then gain another minuscule fraction of speed as it fell from bat-height down to the ground. In the real world, a falling baseball will reach a maximum speed of around 42 meters per second because the air resistance slows it down. This is called Terminal Velocity.
To an outside observer a person traveling at the speed of light would be frozen in time. To the person traveling at the speed of light, things would seem normal.
A jersey with their name and Identification number on their back. And a baseball cap to shade from the sun(except the batter. He wears a helmet, even when he's on base)
in baseball the rule is the other team throws a ball and the person who is batting has to hit it if he hits it he has to run bases. if the batter gets 3 strikes hes out and if He the batter run all three bases and back home without getting touched by a catcher its a home run.
It dosn't, but as soon as batter touch ball, ball would be dead and runner would have to return
Pepper was a warm-up game or an exercise played before a game to improve hand and eye coordination. A small group of fielders would toss a ball to a batter at close range and the batter would hit It back. The player that fielded the ball would quickly toss it back to be hit again. It was usually done around the side lines, and backstop area. Because of the potential rick of injury to a fan or other players it was banned from the ball fields.
Yes the batter can switch as often as he would like. It just has to be after the strike.
