To kick the soccer ball in an attempt to have it go past the goal keeper in to the goal.

When shooting, you should have correct form, and strike with your body power, not just leg power. In order to do that, you must:

  1. Approach the soccer ball
  2. Aim for the middle/bottom of the ball (the bottom is for elevation, the middle is for a good strike. Always aim for the middle, at least.)
  3. Swing leg back with shooting foot
  4. Lean over the ball and strike it
  5. When you strike, you should land on your shooting foot
  6. It may feel awkward the first few times you kick but you will get used to it. Always aim for the corners of the goal, "on target"

Run at the ball plant your non-kicking foot on the side of the ball. Strike through the ball with your kicking foot, pointing your toes slightly downward so that the laces of your shoe hit the middle of the ball. Swing your foot all the way through the kick. Hitting the ball lower down will cause the ball to lift into the air. For a soft pass, hit the ball with the side of your foot rather than the laces.

You hold the ball with your dominate hand with only your finger tips not your palm. With your other hand put it on the side of the ball for support. Bend your knees for power to your shot. At the top of you jump flick your wrist so the ball rolls off your middle finger and rotates in the air.
