Eventually all NFL players retire, most of them well before the age of 38, which was Favre's "first" retirement, from the Green Bay Packers in 2008. He retired for the second time in 2009, from the New York Jets, before signing with the Minnesota Vikings.

Although Favre reportedly wanted more time at home with his family, the catalyst for his first retirement may have been mutual disappointment : the Packers with his play and Favre with Green Bay management.

I think he was 36... either that or 38, but I'm leaning toward 36. Really I'm not 100 percent sure that's what I'm on here trying to find out. guess nobody else knows either...
