You would have to take it to an appraiser, someone who could grade the card. They look at four categories:

1. Edges - How nice they are

2. Quality of the card - graphics etc.

3. Who it's made by - Topps, BBA, etc.

4. Shape - If it's in good shape, the price will be higher

Also, if it's signed, it will sky-rocket in price. If it's a base card, which is a type of card that comes from stores like 7-11 or Walmart, it's not going to be as much as a solid Baseball card. Look for a number on the back of the card, if there's one, it's a base card.. if it's below 20, however, it could be valuable.
