Well first, you have to be coordinated. Second you have to be fast and accurate. You have to be smart and strong. If you play all game which consists of one 40 minute quarter, two 20 minutes quarters or four 10 minutes quarters, you have to be able to run for long periods of time. Track is good for that. You also have to be tough because people will talk about your game skills or in other words ''trash talk you''. The opposing team will also foul you. Basketball is a fun sport but this is the experience you need to play. Take it from me, who has been playing for 6 years.

Some people say that you don't need experience to become a great basketball player. Those people are simply wrong. You don't need experience to become a good basketball player, but to become a great basketball player, you need experience.

One who is put in Game 7 of the NBA finals with 2 seconds left and their team down 97 to 95 as a rookie will not finish nearly as good as one who has been there 4 times.

You can never have too much experience. Different situations occur every game. The most experiences players are generally 10 year or more veterans, but you will always get more experienced.
