No. If a player is not drafted he is then able to negotiate with all 32 teams. These players that sign with a team but were not drafted are known as 'undrafted free agents'. Some of the better known undrafted free agents in the NFL are WR Rod Smith of the Broncos, QB Kurt Warner of the Cardinals who was the MVP of Super Bowl XXXIV, recently retired RB Priest Holmes of the Chiefs, C Jeff Saturday of the Colts, and LB London Fletcher of the Redskins.

How many years are required to play College Football until you can get drafted to the NFL?

1 year if your good at football. scouts will come to your college football games to see if your good enough to play in the NFL. You also have to be good in school they also check if your grades are good so you have to maintain grades A's and B's maybe even 1 or 2 C's. But you have to be a really good player and a team player. Then if they chose you that's where you will go into a draft pick all NFL teams will chose a player keep in mind that all the teams coaches has seen your game videos to see if your good or not. Then the teams will start choosing the players from college that they want and if you get picked that's when you sign a contract for a certain amount of years and will pay you a certain amount of money if you sign your name then congratulations you made it to the NFL! No ... while it is a rarity, a player can make an NFL roster without having played college ball.

Some of the players in the NFL with no college experience were Michael Lewis who played for 7 seasons and was an All-Pro kick/punt returner in 2002 for the Saints ... Ray Seals who played for 8 seasons and was a starting defensive end for the Steelers in Super Bowl XXX ... Otis Sistrunk who played for 7 seasons and made the 1974 Pro Bowl team and was a starting defensive tackle for the Raiders in Super Bowl XI ... and Herb Mul-Key who played 3 seasons and made the 1973 Pro Bowl as a kick/punt returner for the Redskins.
