Kareem Abdul Jabbar impacted the African Americans through many of his NBA achievements. Although he played in the NBA during the segregation years, he had won many achievements such as winning 6 nba titles, number one for career leading scorer, etc...These achievements comes to show that black people can play as well as white, especially against the segregated team, the Boston Celtics.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played in the NBA for 20 years from 1969 to 1989. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1969 and was with the team until he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1975. He then played with the Lakers until his retirement in 1989.
