The winner of each division will play in the championship game to crown a conference champion. Conferences that are not broken into two divisions do not have a championship game.

Teams with the best rankings in their division may play in a conference championship game, and the bowl games will include a National Championship Game now operated under the BCS (Bowl Championship System).
