Prior to 1981-82 it was only 2 points for a win so was not achievable as even if a club had somehow won all 46 games they would only amass 92 points.

The division names have changed but we will answer by their old names so 1 would be the Premier League now, 2 would be the Championship, 3 would be League One and 4 would be League Two.

1984: York 101 (4th)

1986: Swindon 102 (4th)

1999: Sunderland 105 (2nd)

1999: Fulham 101 (3rd)

2001: Fulham 101 (2nd)

2002: Plymouth 102 (4th)

2003: Wigan 100 (3rd)

2006: Reading 106 (2nd)

2012: Charlton 101 (3rd)

The Premiership record is 95, by Chelsea in 2005. This was achieved playing only 38 games. All of the records above were achieved in a season of 46 games.
