Hes played there for about 9 years. And its called football not soccer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After WWII the NFL tinkered with free substitutions (where a player could come back in after being take out) although some years there were limits (three players at a time for example). Unlimited free substitutions were permanently established in 1950, and separate "offense" and "defense" squads started then.
That is a matter of opinion. The Scottish people are very passionate about football (soccer) and over the years Scotland has produced many great footballers and football teams.
soccer Olympics and basketball and baseball and football
Sheffield FC, Sheffield, England was the first football/soccer club in the world and is 150 years old in 2008
because no one really noes wat soccer means and it should be called football because you use your foot to play the game.
Whether you are referring to American Football or Association Football, the answer is no. Dr. James Naismith invented the sport of basketball in 1891, the sport of American Football was introduced 2 years earlier in 1889, and Association Football (or soccer) came about approximately half a century before that.
"football" is a really ancient sport and was invented as far as 3000 years ago, but the soccer that we play today began taking shape in 1863
At least 1200 years ago - in the 8th century (maybe earlier) in England. In the mid-19th century (160 years ago) in England the rules were standardised as Association Football (soccer).
Football games have been played worldwide and throughout history, dating back over a thousand years to ancient China. The modern football game called Soccer originated in England in the late 19th century.
'Soccer' comes from the word 'association'. The 'Football Association' was formed in England to administer the Sport. It was an association of Football clubs. The game they administered became known as 'Association Football' to differentiate it from 'Rugby Football' which was also invented in the 19th Century. 'Soc' is a common diminutive of Society or Association, and so the game became known as 'Soccer'. There is now a myth in England, that only Americans have ever called it 'Soccer', whereas the British call it 'Football' and always have. This myth is not true. As recently as 30 years ago, everyone in Britain called it Soccer. Only our mothers ever called it 'Football', and we ridiculed them for it!!! 'Soccer' was the name adopted by the US when 'Soccer' (as it then was known) was first marketed earnestly in the States. Possibly BECAUSE the Yanks started calling it 'Soccer', the perverse British started calling it 'Football', and now bare-facedly lie that they have NEVER called it 'Soccer'. i think it has somethin to do with scoring or the roman gods
Yes. Football (soccer) has been played in every Summer Olympic games except from the years 1896 and 1932. Football at the Olympics was a sport for men until 1996 when women's football was added to the games.
