Maximum seating capacity for Fenway Park is 39,928. (As of Opening Day 2009) The highest single game capacity came on September 22, 1935 when 47,627 people crammed into Fenway Park for a doubleheader against the New York Yankees, however fire laws introduced in the 1940's ended that type of overcrowding.
