How many points do you get in basketball?

3 points - for a score made from beyond the "3-point line/arch" 2 points - for a score made from a close range or within the "3-point line" 1 point - for each foul shot made (from the foul line) aka "free throw".

No points will be scored if any player shoots from anywhere but from inside the semi circle. Therefore it is no points when you shoot a goal from outside the semicircle even if the player is GS or GA.
