As of the 2008 season, the Chiefs have made the playoffs 15 times: 1962, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1986, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2003, 2006 The Chiefs have won one Super Bowl, that being Super Bowl IV (1969 season). They also won the American Football League championship in 1962 and 1966 (and, of course, 1969 when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League in the Super Bowl).

Once. They beat Minnesota in Super Bowl IV. QB Len Dawson was the MVP. Although the Chiefs had previously taken part in the very first Super Bowl but were beaten by the Green Bay Packers. They have never returned to the Super Bowl.
