Through 2013, the NCAA men's Basketball tournament has been won once (1959) by UC (University of California-Berkeley), which is more commonly known as "California" or "Cal-Berkeley."
Another UC (Cincinnati) has won two of these titles (1961 and 1962). Nationally, the school is known more commonly as "Cincinnati," but regionally there are many who refere to it as "UC."
Connecticut is commonly called "UConn," both locally and nationally, but it is in fact another "UC." The school has won three men's titles: 1999, 2004 and 2011.
