Re-correction: 5 - 1924 was 'selected' 18 years later in 1942 by the Helms Foundation (John Helms and business manager Bill Schroeder).
If you include these (which most schools and the NCAA don't), Kentucky's total increases to 9 (1933 and 1954 - the latter of which they finished 25-0 but chose not to attend the NCAA tournament).
