It depends on how much playing time your coach gives you. But the average midfielder does run a good amount. I reckamend that if you need help conditioning your body run up to 2 miles when ever you can, and time yourself to see your progress WHICH WILL HELP since you will run alot during the games.

It depends on what league and how often you play. Some midfielders run only two miles a game (youth) others run anywhere up to about 5. Just train yourself to run about three miles a day and you should be fine. It is a very tiring position...
