For his career, Don Mattingly hit 6 grand slam home runs. Interestingly, they all were hit in the 1987 season when he set the single season record for grand slam home runs, since tied by Travis Hafner of the Cleveland Indians in 2006.

Don Mattingly never played in a World Series. His career with the New York Yankees began in 1982, the year after the club appeared in the 1981 Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Yankees didn't return to the Series until 1996, the year after Mattingly's final season.

That was the 1987 season. Incredibly, he wound up his career with six total grand slams, all in the 1987 season.
