Babe Ruth's first MLB game was July 11, 1914. He pitched seven innings against the Cleveland Indians and left with the score tied 3-3. The Red Sox pinch hit for Ruth in the bottom of the 7th and scored a run which turned out to be the game winner as the Red Sox won 4-3. Ruth was credited with the win. He batted twice in the game, striking out and flying out to right field.
