You can walk after four pitches.
BB means Base On Balls, meaning the batter was walked (4 balls).
if he gets a strike he is out. and after 4 balls you walk
When a batter gets 4 balls before she gets 3 strikes.
a walk.
a walk is when you get 4 balls (when the ball is thrown to high or to low and the batter doesn't swing at it, it is a ball) and get to go to at least 1st base, you can steal the other bases.(just because it's called a 'walk' doesn't mean you get to walk, still run)
IBB = Intentional Bases on Balls which is also known as an intentional walk
No, a walk is a walk
Base on Balls also means walk. I think this is the technical term for it actually. In stats a walk is recorded as BB.
by getting 4 balls, or getting hit by the ball you don't swing at any balls. try to stand low and back in the box and in. if the catcher doesn't back up, then you can swing and hit their glove to get an automatic walk. hope that the pitcher is bad
In 1887, the rules were changed from 7 balls needed for a walk to 5 balls needed for a walk. In 1889, the rules were changed again to 4 balls needed for a walk and have stayed that way since.
