One of Wicklow's main tourist attractions is the Wicklow Gaol. It is found beside the library and the courthouse. The county of Wicklow is called the garden county, because of its natural beauty. These include many mountains, rivers, lakes and forests. One of the most well known and beautiful places is Glendalough. It is a 6th century monastic site, founded by St. Kevin. It has many very old buildings and its famous round tower. It is a good place for walkers and hikers, as is much of Wicklow.
