Strength is really important in a football game, anywhere on the pitch you play in, you can push off defenders instead of losing the ball all the time if you're a midfielder if youre a striker you can get past defenders easier and if you're strong it might help your aggression, balance and jumping.

It really only helps when you play Defensive or Offensive line because of how much of a beating your muscles take from being pushed around.

It does and doesn't. Most plays in football only last 5-10 seconds, so you need more of an ability to recover from short bursts of activity than you need endurance.
